Mallakhamb
The word Mallakhamb is derived from the words ‘Malla’ and ‘Khamb’ which means ‘Gymnast’ and ‘Pole’. Originating in the 12th century, it is a traditional sport and requires the practitioner to perform gymnastic, aerial yoga postures and wrestling grips on standing or hanging wooden pole or cane.
